PatoGen is launching clinical chemistry in May

Clinical chemistry is one of the main tools in human medicine and veterinary medicine for animals. PatoGen’s owner, Fürst Medisinsk Laboratorium, conducts over 25 million blood markers each year. Over the past year, PatoGen has been preparing to launch an analysis platform for fish, and we can now inform that it is ready for our customers to use in May by submitting samples.

In the development work, PatoGen has learned a lot from human medicine about how important it is to establish correct upper and lower limit values for various parameters that are measured. We are very aware that it will require a lot of work from many to build up this knowledge. To contribute to this, PatoGen will deliver numerical values in the reports that are based on solid and repeatable analysis methods. In this way, customers can build up their own experiences based on data series.

To help ensure good sample collection, we have already made a short film showing how this should be carried out: How to perform sampling of blood and processing of serum.

PatoGen has made a number of films that provide good instructions for taking other types of samples as well, all of these can be found on our Youtube-channel and on patogen.no.
